About us

I’m a documentary style wedding photographer based in Beacon New York in the Hudson Valley. I adore intimate, chic weddings and fun, creative couples.

I’ve been shooting weddings for about 10 years and have been shooting with Barry for 5 of those years. I can’t imagine doing anything else and love that we’ve met so many wonderful people.

If you would like to know more about us, I included a few tidbits below, but you can always email me and ask me anything.

I grew up in a very small town in upstate NY that was known for it's copper pots.

In the beginning, I spent many hours in the darkroom developing my prints, (and getting rashes and headaches from the chemicals) learning about tones, f8, the decisive moment and other valuable and “fun” information.

I look up to, (In no particular order), Henri Cartier-Bresson, Walker Evans, Brassai, Berenice Abbott and Mary Ellen Mark, as well as current wedding photographers such as Jeff Ascough and Joe Buissink (Just to name a few). When I’m in need of inspiration I look to them to find it.

I obsess about weddings 24 hours a day. Wedding shows, Magazines, blogs, I’ll take it all!

As much as I love photography, I hate having my picture taken (So I get it when you're a bit nervous in front of my lens).

I’ve been an Active Member of the Wedding Photojournalists Association since 2005  www.wpja.com

Barry, comes from Hollywood, with an extensive background of work in the TV/Film Business for and with numerous Top Celebrities. (He's got some great stories!) He is also a die hard Vikings, Lakers and Orioles Fan (Yankee Fans--please don't hold this against him).

FYI Barry and I have been engaged for about 4 years now and cannot seem to find the time to plan our own wedding. We'll let you know when we finally do!

I also love…

Some of our work has been seen in the New York Times, Lela New York Blog, Bride Chic, How He Asked, Wedding Wire Blog, Wall Street Journal, New York Magazine Weddings Editions and TLC's TV show, "Say Yes to the Dress".... and most importantly by the eyes of the couples who we are lucky enough to shoot for.

Cheers!
XOXO
